Although we know God is all knowing and knows are needs and prayers before we ask him of them, Paul said in
Philippians 4:6 "Let your requests be made known to God;
:7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
This is a very interesting situation, because God knows our hearts, our desires and needs so why would we have to let our needs or requests be known to God. Jesus said in
Matthew 7:7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
James said in James 4:2 ...You have not, because you ask not.
Sometimes in our lives it's not that God doesn't care or doesn't know our needs, it's just he wants us to voice our needs and communicate with him. If we got everything we needed just by simply knowing we needed it we would never ask God for anything or pray to him. God wants us to have a relationship with him in which we communicate with him everyday. There may be times where he lets needs go unanswered or hard times come, because he wants you to seek his face and depend on him.
So from now on if you need a job, or bills start to pile up, instead of saying I'm believing in God for these things; lay them out in front of God and ask him to meet these needs and provide.
